How to make a great sauce.

According to tradition, the key to a perfect dish is maintaining the delicate balance between the pasta and the sauce. Use these tips to whip up a simple version of some classic sauces.

Bolognese Sauce
24 oz. marinara sauce → 1 lb. ground beef → ½ cup red wine → 1tsp. dried oregano

Puttanesca Sauce
24 oz. marinara sauce → 1 tsp. dried oregano → 1 tsp. basil → 1 cup black olives → 1 tbsp. capers

Pomarola Sauce
28 oz. crushed tomatoes → 3 tsp. minced garlic → 1 tsp. dried oregano → ¼ cup chopped fresh basil

Arrabiata Sauce
24 oz. marinara sauce → 1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

Amatriciana Sauce
24 oz. marinara sauce → 1 cup chopped, cooked bacon → ¼ cup parmesan cheese

Vodka Cream Sauce
24 oz. marinara sauce → ½ cup vodka → ½ cup heavy cream

Carbonara Sauce
15 oz. alfredo sauce → ½ cup milk → ½ cup chopped, cooked bacon → ½ cup frozen peas
